Architectural Concept & Radical Form

Sailing Yacht A represents one of the most radical departures from traditional superyacht design in maritime history. Designed by French icon Philippe Starck and engineered by German yard Nobiskrug, the vessel features an imposing, seamless silver hull made from high-strength steel with composite overlays.

Carbon Fiber Masts & Rigging

The vessel is equipped with three freestanding carbon fiber masts, built by Magma Structures in Portsmouth. Standing at over 100 meters above the waterline, they are the tallest freestanding composite structures in the world. The sails are fully automated, covering over 3,700 square meters of sail area controlled via touchscreens in the bridge.

Underwater Observation Capsule

Embedded into the keel is a solid 30-centimeter thick curved glass window weighing over 1.8 tonnes, offering guests an unprecedented underwater observation chamber directly beneath the hull.
